Deskside Briefing | The Impact of School Anxiety, Refusal, and Absenteeism on Youth

April 4, 2024 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm ET

National Public Radio recently reported that almost one-third of K-12 students in the United States, totaling more than 14 million youth, are not attending school regularly.

Join us on April 4th for a community conversation, and hear from expert leaders about the underlying mental health issues contributing to nonattendance and ways we can reduce school absenteeism in our youth. Only when treatment providers, families, schools, and community stakeholders work together can we effectively treat school anxiety and refusal in children and teens.

Why Attend?

  • Understand in greater detail the issues contributing to nonattendance for children and teens.
  • Learn practical strategies that address chronic absenteeism and improve school attendance.
  • Hear from our panelists about the ways that they navigate children and teens experiencing school anxiety and refusal and how they support them.
